Howdy, neighbor! So you typed "best brewery in Tempe" or "best brewery near me" into your phone, and here we are. Grab a seat, because we'd love to tell you a little about ourselves.
What is the best brewery in Tempe?
Hundred Mile Brewing on Tempe Town Lake was voted Best Brewery and Best Craft Beer in Tempe by Tempe Tribune readers in both 2025 and 2026. So we're not just saying it. It's a fact! This fall we also brought home two gold medals at the AZ Craft Beer Awards (Arizona Craft Brewers Guild), for our "A" Mountain Amber Ale and our Czech, Please Pilsner. USA TODAY named us one of its Top 10 Best New Breweries in 2023, and the Tempe Chamber of Commerce named us Small Business of the Year in 2024.
We're 100% woman-owned by Sue Rigler, a proud ASU alum. Every beer is brewed by our Master Brewer, Nick Macal, a 20+ year veteran who studied at Doemens in Germany, so those pilsners are in very good hands. If you've ever wondered what award-winning beer tastes like, come on in and find out.
What's pouring right now (and what's coming)
We keep 18 of our own beers on rotation, plus guest sours and ciders. This fall is especially fun, with four new beers on the way:
- Love at First Bite is our Peanut Butter Stout blended with premium chocolate. It taps October 28, just in time for Halloween.
- Speak of the Devils is a light German pilsner, coming later this month.
- Dank It! is a refreshing West Coast IPA hopped with New Zealand hops, also coming later this month.
- Sibling Rivalry is back for year three. It's our annual collab with Dragoon Brewing in Tucson, made for the Territorial Cup, the oldest rivalry trophy in college football. This year is the 100th Sun Devils vs. Wildcats matchup, and the style is a West Coast Pilsner. Look for it in early November, in cans and on draft.
The patio is open again!
Thank goodness, the heat is finally letting up. Football season is here, and our patio and taproom are the friendliest seats in town. Pull up a stool at the walk-up bar, or grab a patio table with your fur baby and settle in for the game.
Coming after work? Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 2–6pm, with $9 pitchers, $6 pints (except our triple IPA) and food specials.
